PC Oil-Based Release Agent for PC Precast Components
This product is a new, environmentally friendly oil-based release agent developed specifically for the nation’s emerging prestressed PC prefabricated construction industry. Currently, most water-based release agents on the market leave small amounts of concrete powder adhering to the formwork after demolding irregular components such as stairs, bay windows, and wall panels. This requires manual sanding and cleaning of the formwork before each concrete pour, which is not only labor-intensive but also causes damage to the formwork. Using this release agent ensures smooth separation of the concrete from the mold during demolding, maintaining the integrity of the concrete shape and preventing damage to the mold. It significantly addresses the common issues of color variation and honeycomb voids found in ordinary oil-based release agents, achieving a finish close to that of exposed concrete. It is particularly suitable for demolding irregularly shaped components such as stairs.
Product Characteristics
Appearance: Yellowish-brown oily liquid
Applications: PC precast components, all concrete components
Ingredients: Imported release oil, separating agent, surfactant
pH: 6–8
Coverage: 15–20 m²/kg
Storage: Must be stored indoors in a cool, shaded area. Keep away from open flames, direct sunlight, and rain.
Instructions for Use
1. This product is intended for direct brushing or mist spraying. Do not dilute with water;
2. Ensure the release agent is evenly distributed across the formwork surface. Do not apply too thickly, as excessive thickness may cause yellowing, darkening, or increased honeycomb bubbles on the component surface;
3. When using a spray tool, adjust the spray nozzle for optimal results;
4. When using this product during the rainy season, if bubbles appear on the component surface, try applying the release agent 12 hours before pouring concrete to allow sufficient time for it to air-dry and form a film.
Application Method
1. Thoroughly clean concrete residue from the mold surface (concrete residue can absorb the release agent, causing it to fail);
2. Apply the release agent to the formwork surface using a paint roller or sponge mop; ensure the release agent is evenly distributed across the formwork surface;
3. Pour the concrete once the release agent has air-dried and formed a film.
Application Scenarios: PC precast components
