PC Series Water-Based Release Agent for Precast PC Components (Milky White)
This release agent is a water-based product developed specifically for the emerging national market for prefabricated PC construction. It is suitable for demolding precast composite floor slabs, stairs, wall panels, and bay windows; Currently, most water-based release agents on the market cause rusting when the diluted emulsion is applied to the mold, and their demolding performance is unsatisfactory. This requires manual sanding and cleaning of the mold surface before each concrete pour, which is labor-intensive and can damage the mold. Meanwhile, while conventional oil-based release agents offer better demolding performance, they leave residues on the component surface, causing varying degrees of color variation in the finished product; This product effectively addresses these issues. When using this release agent, concrete separates smoothly from the mold during demolding, maintaining the integrity of the concrete shape and preventing damage to the mold. It significantly improves upon the color variation and excessive honeycomb porosity issues associated with ordinary release agents.
Product Features
Appearance: Milky white viscous liquid
Application: Suitable for demolding PC precast components
Ingredients: Modified polymer, release agent, surfactant
pH: 7-9
Coverage: 15–20 m²/kg when the emulsion is diluted 3–5 times with water
Storage: Must be stored indoors in a cool, shaded area; avoid exposure to direct sunlight or rain
Instructions for Use:
1. This product must be diluted with water. For composite floor slabs, dilute 4–5 times; and 3–4 times for irregular components such as stairs, wall panels, and bay windows; spray the emulsion onto the formwork and then apply evenly using a paint roller or sponge mop;
2. Ensure the release agent is applied evenly across the formwork surface; do not apply too thickly, as excessive thickness may cause increased honeycombing or yellowing of the component surface;
3. If the release agent emulsion has been stored for an extended period, stir it thoroughly before use.
Application Method
1. Thoroughly clean concrete residue from the mold surface (concrete residue can absorb the release agent, causing demolding failure);
2. Spray the water-based release agent onto the formwork surface using a sprayer, then use a sponge mop or cloth mop to evenly apply the release agent emulsion to the formwork surface;
3. Pour the concrete after the release agent has air-dried and formed a film (the white color of the emulsion should no longer be visible).
