Application Methods
Ready to use; can be applied with a paint roller or by electrostatic spraying.
Method 1: Paint Roller:
1. Remove aluminum shavings, dust, and other solid contaminants from the surface of the aluminum formwork;
2. Clean industrial oil stains and emulsified contaminants from the surface of the aluminum formwork;
3. Ensure the surface of the aluminum formwork is dry and free of water;
4. When applying with a paint roller, ensure even and thorough coverage (roll the roller back and forth across the formwork twice to achieve a paint film thickness of approximately 15–25 micrometers);
5. The forms may be stacked once the paint film is touch-dry (the film typically reaches a touch-dry state approximately 5–10 minutes after applying the form release agent);
Method 2: Conventional Air Spraying
1. Remove aluminum shavings, dust, and other solid contaminants from the surface of the aluminum forms;
2. Clean industrial oil stains and emulsified contaminants from the surface of the aluminum forms;
3. Ensure the surface of the aluminum formwork is dry and free of water;
4. Adjust the air flow, air pressure, and paint volume to optimal settings before applying the coating to the aluminum formwork; maintain a distance of 20–30 cm between the spray gun and the formwork, and apply one back-and-forth pass; a paint film thickness of 15–25 micrometers is optimal.
Precautions
1. If drying equipment is available, place the formwork in an 80–90°C oven for 5–10 minutes to achieve optimal performance of the paint film. If no drying or curing equipment is available, allow the paint film sufficient time to dry thoroughly; the longer it is left to cure (3–5 days), the stronger the adhesion to the aluminum formwork, the higher the hardness, and the better the performance; It is recommended to wait 3–5 days after applying the formwork preservative before use; results are even better when used in conjunction with our company’s release agent.
2. The formwork surface must be kept dry. Before first use, remove loose dust (rust) and grease (wax) to improve the formwork preservative’s adhesion to the formwork.
3. When using a spray application process, if the spray gun operates intermittently, the formwork preservative in the gun must be completely drained to prevent clogging of the nozzle or hose. If necessary, flush the lines with solvent to prevent the preservative from hardening and clogging the spray gun due to prolonged exposure. If the spray gun or nozzle becomes clogged, clean the nozzle using a mixture of gun cleaning solution and slow-drying water in a 3:1 ratio;
4. During application, ensure the relative stability of the solvent content in the formwork preservative. The paint container holding the formwork preservative should be sealed to prevent evaporation; otherwise, the viscosity of the formwork preservative will change, thereby affecting its performance; 5. The release agent used in conjunction with this product must not contain diesel, biodiesel, chemical solvents, or other substances that could damage the molecular structure of the formwork preservative. Once the formwork preservative is damaged, its adhesion to the formwork will decrease, leading to paint film peeling.
6. This product must be stored in a sealed container. Keep away from open flames, direct sunlight, and rain. Do not allow contact with acids, alkalis, or alcohols to prevent deterioration and solidification.
