FT Series Water-Based Release Agent for Wind Turbine Composite Towers
This product is a new, environmentally friendly water-based release agent developed specifically for wind turbine composite towers, and is also suitable for demolding all types of concrete products; This release agent is diluted with 3–4 times its volume of water. The emulsion adheres evenly to the mold surface to form an oil film, allowing the concrete to separate smoothly from the mold during demolding. This reduces concrete residue on the mold, maintains the integrity of the concrete shape, and prevents damage to the mold.
Performance Specifications:
Appearance: Dark brown oily liquid
Application Scope: Suitable for wind turbine hybrid tower segment components
Composition: Modified polymer, release agent, surfactant
pH: 6–8
Coverage: 1 kg of undiluted solution per 7–8 m³ of concrete
Stability: Disperses uniformly after dilution with water
Storage: Must be stored in a cool, shaded place; avoid exposure to direct sunlight or rain.
Instructions for Use: Mix with clean tap water. Do not use highly alkaline recycled water or hard tap water. Dilute at a ratio of 3–4 parts water to 1 part product. Conduct a small-scale test before mixing to determine the optimal dilution ratio. When mixing, first add a small amount of water (approximately 1 part) to the release agent, stir gently, and let it soak. Once the release agent is fully dissolved in the water, add the remaining water while stirring continuously to ensure uniform mixing.
Application Method:1. When using for the first time, ensure that the product is not mixed with release agents from other brands. This includes not sharing tools such as sponge mops. Empty any release agents from other brands from the sprayer and clean the sprayer thoroughly;
2. First, soak a clean sponge mop in the diluted release agent solution, wring it out, and set it aside;
3. Clean all debris and residue from the mold surface. For the first use, mix the release agent with water at a 1:3 ratio and spray it evenly onto the mold using a mist spray. After spraying, wipe the mold with a sponge mop dipped in the release agent to ensure the emulsion adheres evenly. Allow it to air dry before pouring concrete;
Note: When using the release agent in winter, if sticking occurs, make the following adjustments: 1. Appropriately reduce the water-to-release agent ratio; if the original ratio was 1:4, try adjusting it to 1:3; 2. Use hot water at 50–60°C for mixing to ensure the release agent blends thoroughly with the water; 3. Adjust the concrete mix design, such as the proportions of water-reducing agent, cement, and aggregate, as well as the steam curing time; 4. Do not demold until the segment strength reaches 20 MPa or higher.
Application: Wind turbine hybrid tower segments
