    Appearance: Milky white, viscous emulsion

    Applications: Aluminum alloy construction formwork. Composition: Modified polymer, release agent, surfactant. Coverage: Approximately 8–10 m²/kg when used undiluted; 12–15 m²/kg when diluted with water.

    pH: 7–10

    Application Method

    Thoroughly clean concrete residue and debris from the formwork surface. Apply directly with a paint roller using the undiluted product or the product diluted with water according to the specified ratio.

    1. Clean concrete residue, debris, and dust from the formwork surface (during application, if dust adheres to the formwork surface, it must be cleaned promptly to prevent a thick layer of cement from absorbing the release agent, which would impair demolding performance; do not use a grinder for cleaning; instead, remove residue with a metal scraper);

    2. Apply the release agent using a paint roller (if the release agent has been stored for a long time, give it a brief stir to ensure uniformity before use; apply a thin, even coat; whenever possible, apply the release agent to multiple formwork panels placed side by side to minimize waste and prevent the release agent from being applied too thickly);

    3. Once the release agent has dried and formed a film, concrete can be poured.

    Precautions

    1. For powder-coated aluminum formwork, it is recommended to dilute the release agent with 1/2 its volume of water for the first layer. Once the desired release effect is achieved, gradually increase the dilution ratio; as the number of formwork reuses increases, the dilution ratio should be higher;

    2. For aluminum formwork treated with a formwork protection agent, if the undiluted release agent feels too thick to spread evenly, dilute it with 1/4 of its volume in water, stir thoroughly, and then apply. Ensure the application is even and thorough, but avoid applying it too thickly; an excessively thick layer of release agent may leave residue on the concrete wall surface, causing the wall to turn black and affecting its appearance;

    3. For aluminum formwork without surface treatment (commonly known as “bare panels”), it is recommended to use oil-based release agents for the first three layers and switch to water-based release agents starting with the fourth layer. When using a water-based release agent for the first time, dilute it with 1/4 water. Once the release effect meets expectations, appropriately

Dilution method: Since the release agent is relatively thick, start by adding 1/5 water, stir thoroughly, then add more water and stir again; continue until all the required water has been added; 7. If the wall surface appears pitted after formwork removal but no mortar has adhered to the formwork, this indicates that the release agent was applied too thickly. The solution is to apply a thinner coat of release agent or slightly increase the water-to-release agent ratio. After applying it evenly, check the release effect. If the pitting has improved but not been completely resolved, you can further increase the water-to-release agent ratio as appropriate; Since the cement grade, sand, gravel, and water-reducing agents used vary from site to site, the water-to-release agent ratio cannot be fixed. Finding the appropriate ratio is the correct approach to using the release agent;

    8. Yellowing of the ceiling slab is one of the common issues encountered during aluminum formwork construction.

    The main causes include:

    a. Rusted rebar: Rusted rebar is piled up haphazardly, causing rust stains to fall onto the formwork;

    b. Workers walking back and forth on the ceiling slab while tying rebar, causing dirt from their shoe soles to remain on the slab;

    c. Dust on the construction site;

    d. Release agent; Since release agents have wetting properties, they make it easier for solid contaminants such as dust to adhere to the ceiling slab, making them difficult to clean off completely. Therefore, yellowing of the ceiling slab can only be mitigated, not completely prevented; if the form release performance meets requirements, the yellowing can be reduced by increasing the water-to-form release agent ratio to dilute the agent and lower its concentration; oil-based form release agents cause more severe yellowing than water-based ones.
